WebWorks Publisher Workbook CD: System Requirements
Hardware
- PC with Pentium or faster processor and Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP
- 32 MB of available RAM (64 MB recommended)
- 57 MB of available hard-disk space
- Video card capable of displaying 16-bit color (32-bit recommended)
- Video resolution set to 1024x768 or higher
- Sound capability
- CD-ROM drive
Note: You can run the exercises on a UNIX machine, but the films
won’t work.
Software
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (available for free at www.adobe.com)
- FrameMaker 6.0 (or FrameMaker+SGML 6.0)
- WebWorks Publisher 6.0.7
- Web browser, version 4.5 or higher
- Text or HTML editor (the Windows default text editor, Notepad, is
acceptable)
- Microsoft Help Workshop (installed with WebWorks Publisher)
- AVI file player (such as RealPlayer or Windows Media Player)
- TSCC.exe video compressor/decompressor (CODEC), which interprets the
video files and is included on the companion CD
Note: If you don’t install the TSCC CODEC, you won’t
be able to view the films.
