Licensing

The DocFrame solution has two configurations, developer and author, that come in licensing packages. The five-pack of licenses includes one developer license and four author licenses; the ten-pack includes one developer and nine author licenses.

DocFrame developer license

A DocFrame developer license includes all of the components for implementing and customizing structured authoring, XML import and export, and transformation into HTML, HTML Help, and JavaHelp.

The Developer package includes the following:

• DocFrame EDD
• DocFrame formatting template
• DocFrame application for XML import and export (including DTD and read/write rules)
• XSL transformations for HTML, HTML Help, and JavaHelp
• DocFrame Developer's Guide (208 pages): table of contents (PDF, 82K)
• DocFrame Author's Guide (96 pages): table of contents (PDF, 45K)
• Scriptorium's complete FrameMaker workbook series:
• Unstructured FrameMaker 7: Accelerated Introduction Workbook
• Advanced Unstructured FrameMaker 7: Template Design Workbook
• Structured FrameMaker 7: Introduction to Authoring Workbook

Developer licensees receive technical support from Scriptorium Publishing.

DocFrame author license

DocFrame author licenses provide the tools authors need to create structured FrameMaker files, export and import XML content, and transform XML output into online formats. Author licenses do not include the components or information for customization of the authoring workflow; the developer licensee handles those tasks.

Each Author license also includes the following books:

• DocFrame Author's Guide (96 pages): table of contents (PDF, 45K)
• Unstructured FrameMaker 7: Accelerated Introduction Workbook
• Structured FrameMaker 7: Introduction to Authoring Workbook
• FrameMaker 7: The Complete Reference (McGraw-Hill/Osborne)
