Conferences
at Your Desk
|
|
Over the past nine (!) years, we've gotten to meet many of you
at conferences. It's always fun to put a face with an email address.
But we recognize that a large majority of our readers cannot attend
conferences. With this in mind, we are launching a new series of
webcasts, called TrackAccess. These presentations will run 60 to
90 minutes and will include the same detailed information that we
normally deliver at conference presentations.
Here are some comments from 2005 conference evaluations:
- "Worth the entire price of the conference! Session of the
year!"
- "This instructor is the best one at the conference. She
was very organized [and] knows her material."
- "Excellent material, exactly at the right pace and right
level of detail. Superbly presented."
TrackAccess is your chance to get the same quality content for
only $19.95, which includes audio and video streamed over the Internet.
You can ask questions via chat (and via audio in smaller groups).
Our first three webcasts are as follows:

Web-Based
and Classroom Training
|
|
In 2006, we'll be offering training in the classroom and, for the
first time, as live, instructor-led classes over the web. We hope
you'll join us!
Classes in January and February are as follows:

Publishing XML through InDesign
|
|
We are getting a significant number of inquiries about using Adobe
InDesign CS2 in an XML-based workflow. Adobe has now posted a new
white paper, InDesign
and XML Technical Reference (28 pages, PDF, 2 MB), which describes
InDesign's support for XML publishing.
Written by Scriptorium staff for Adobe, this paper describes XML
features not documented elsewhere. We hope you find it useful.

April in Pa...lm Springs
|
|
Registration has opened for the WritersUA
conference, which will be held in Palm Springs, California,
on April 912. Scriptorium's Sarah O'Keefe will be presenting
on XSL-related topics this year, and we also plan to exhibit at
the tradeshow.
The WritersUA conference is always extremely well-organized and
features excellent speakers and presentations. If you're looking
for a conference to attend this year, we highly recommend this one.
