Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...ACK!

Thanks for bearing with us while we dug out of the record snowfall (20.3 inches) at the end of January. Getting to the office was a certainly a challenge, particularly for one employee, whose car slid on its undercarriage down a hill into our parking lot. But our fearless leader, Sarah, managed to get the employee's car back up the hill. And you thought she was good just with software...

The reviews are in: Advanced WebWorks Publisher course a success

Scriptorium Publishing wrapped up teaching its first Advanced WebWorks Publisher course two weeks ago, and here's what some of the students had to say:

  •  "Highly recommend this class for WWP users"
  •  "Great class...I liked the hands-on exercises."
  •  "I really got good information from the class. I can't wait to get back and play with my project."

There is still time to get the early registration discount for the next Advanced WebWorks Publisher course, which is April 12-13. We're also teaching our WebWorks Publisher, Accelerated Introduction to FrameMaker, and Advanced FrameMaker courses this spring. For course details, pricing, discounts, and registration deadlines, see our training web page. To register for the courses, go to our registration form.

New Single Sourcing Overview seminar in March

You've probably heard all the recent buzz about single sourcing, which is the process of creating hardcopy and online deliverables from one set of files. If you're unsure about how the process works or whether you can implement it for your documentation, our new Single Sourcing Overview is for you. This one-day seminar on March 17 will explain general concepts of single sourcing, describe the pros and the cons, and show you how to implement the process in a FrameMaker environment.

To get the early registration discount for this seminar, register by February 23. For course details, see our training web page. To register for the course, go to our registration form.

Sarah to speak at WinWriters conference

Sarah O'Keefe will be presenting twice at the WinWriters Online Help Conference. On Tuesday, March 7, Sarah will co-present "WebWorks Publisher: Real-World Solutions." Later that day, she'll present "WebWorks Publisher: Single-Sourcing without Compromises." Be sure to say hello to Sarah if you attend.

Book signing at Barnes & Noble

On Monday, February 7, Sarah did a brief presentation and book signing for FrameMaker for Dummies at the Barnes & Noble in Cary. Thanks to all who attended and to the Barnes & Noble staffers.

If you still don't own a copy of the book, visit our web site for ordering information or go to your local bookstore. If you'd like a signed copy, you can pick it up at our office for $21 (including sales tax), or we'll ship it anywhere in the U.S. for $25. Contact Sarah for more information.
