Introducing our Advanced WebWorks Publisher virtual class

Want to take our Advanced WebWorks Publisher course but can't find the time (or budget) to travel to our classroom? Our new virtual class scheduled for May 8 may be exactly what you need.

Our virtual class contains the same content as our classroom-based course. Participants receive hard copies of our training supplement and exercises by mail. Over a period of seven days, participants gather with the instructor in a web-based chat room (or conference call) for an hour a day. After meeting in the chat room, students complete assigned exercises that show real-world applications of the information discussed in the chat room. Participants submit their completed homework to the instructor and or to a private mailing list consisting of the instructor and participants. Everyone reviews the assignments and goes over questions in the next meeting.

Participants in our online class must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Advanced knowledge of FrameMaker
  • Basic and intermediate knowledge of WebWorks Publisher
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable with communication via email, chat, and conference calls

Our virtual Advanced WebWorks Publisher course costs the same as our classroom version. For more information or to apply, contact training@scriptorium.com.

Spring training

There are just a few more seats available for our spring training classes. Our next classroom-based Advanced WebWorks Publisher course is April 12-13. In addition to our WebWorks Publisher, Accelerated Introduction to FrameMaker, and Advanced FrameMaker courses, we're also offering new classes on Using Adobe Acrobat 4 and Creating Acrobat Forms. For course details, pricing, discounts, and registration deadlines, see our training web page. To register for the courses, go to our registration form.

The ins and outs of JavaHelp

You've probably heard the buzz about JavaHelp and its features, most notably platform independence. But because it's an emerging technology, solid information about JavaHelp can be hard to find.

If you want the scoop on JavaHelp, check out our new white paper (PDF, 230K).

Single sourcing scuttlebutt

Those of you who attended the WinWriters Online Help Conference may have seen Sarah O'Keefe's two presentations about single sourcing using WebWorks Publisher. For those who didn't, you can download the slides for her WebWorks Publisher: Single-Sourcing without Compromises (PDF, 390K) and WebWorks Publisher: Real-World Solutions (PDF, 155K) presentations.
