Your Choice: Web- or Classroom-Based Training

In the coming months, we've got a full schedule for both web- and classroom-based training. Our web-based training lets you eliminate travel costs while still getting many of the benefits of our instructor-led training: small class size, the opportunity to ask questions, and a challenging curriculum that engages you.

Here's what a recent attendee had to say about our online Advanced Structured FrameMaker 7: Building EDDs class:

I've been wanting to learn this [information] for years....I also liked the convenience/accessibility, and the fact that it was in small chunks, allowing me to also get work done that day.

For more information about online or classroom training, contact training@scriptorium.com.

You can review our complete 2006 schedule and register for classes in our online store.

For those who prefer to learn FrameMaker at their own pace, we also offer our FrameMaker 7 Workbook Series. You can download the workbooks from our online store for $49.95 each. You get the workbook in PDF format, exercise files, and access to video clips that explain the FrameMaker interface.

STC Conference Wrap Up

Sarah O'Keefe just got back from the STC conference in Las Vegas. If you didn't get a chance to attend her presentations on structured authoring, DITA, and InDesign, you can download PDF versions of the handouts:

Shortly after the DITA presentation, Sarah sat down with Scott Prentice (www.leximation.com) to see a demo of his DITA solution for FrameMaker. Scott has not yet released his application, but it provides an elegant solution for topic maps and conrefs. Sarah thinks the application will become the standard for FrameMaker-based DITA publishing.

Read our blog for other highlights (and moments better forgotten) from Sarah's trip.

TrackAccess Webcasts

TrackAccess webcasts continue to offer you conference-quality presentations at the comfort of your own desk. The webcast schedule through August is as follows:

We've also scheduled more webcasts for the rest of 2006.

Each webcast is only $19.95. Register soon; we limit the number of participants to ensure attendees can ask questions. To participate, you need a web browser with Flash and the ability to play audio on your computer through speakers or headphones. Attendees ask questions through a chat interface.
