Hawaii to London: Upcoming Conferences

Sarah O'Keefe is a speaker at LavaCon 2006 in Lihue, Hawaii, on October 1–4. Sarah will be leading a hands-on afternoon workshop on XSL, so bring a laptop. Sarah is also busily at work on another, more fun-oriented presentation. We can't tell you any of the details yet, but she has been heard muttering "Book of Kells" around the office. What does that have to do with technical documentation? Join us in Hawaii to find out. For an overview of the conference offerings, check out the draft conference program (PDF format).

If Hawaii isn't your cup of tea, perhaps London will do? The STC Region 2 Conference is scheduled for October 13–14. The list of speakers looks great, and we hear from our British friends that the hotel location is convenient to the London sights. Sarah will be presenting on creating a business case for implementing an XML-based structured authoring environment.
