The
WebWorks Publisher Workbook: Let Us Show You What's under the Hood
|
|
Need WebWorks Publisher training, but don't have the budget for
a class? Our new WebWorks Publisher
Workbook offers you a self-paced introduction to WebWorks Publisher.
The Workbook is for users who are new to Quadralay's WebWorks
Publisher software but have basic FrameMaker skills. The workbook's
exercises walk you through setting up, creating, and modifying projects
in WebWorks Publisher. The Workbook also includes a CD with
video clips (self-extracting video
clip, 4.5 MB, 2 min., 17 sec.).
Check out the table of contents.
Go to our online order form to
purchase your copies of The WebWorks Publisher Workbook and
The WebWorks Publisher Cookbook.

Why
It's Not Wise to Ask Programmers to Write Your Product's Documentation
|
|
We have just completed a white paper that outlines the basics
of managing technical publications. The
Software Development Executive's Guide to Managing Technical Publications
(PDF, 348 KB, 27 pages) describes documentation deliverables and
staffing options to executives who have not previously had any technical
documentation responsibilities. The document also explains the importance
of single sourcing (creating multiple deliverable types from one
set of files), why it's a bad idea to ask your product's developers
to write the documentation, and how solid documentation can save
you money and provide marketing tools.
