FrameMaker 7: The Complete Reference

We're getting lots of positive feedback on FrameMaker 7: The Complete Reference, written by Sarah O'Keefe and Sheila Loring (and published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill). Thanks to those folks who have sent comments, and we'd love to hear from the rest of you. Please send your comments--and constructive criticism--to fm7cr@scriptorium.com.

The Complete Reference is available at our online store at 30 percent off the cover price. You can also buy it at your favorite bookstore and Internet book retailer.

More FrameMaker 7 Workbooks Released

In our last newsletter, we announced our FrameMaker 7 Workbook Series. We use the workbooks in our FrameMaker 7 classes, but you can also use them as self-study guides to learn FrameMaker 7 at your own pace. Workbooks include references to conceptual information in The Complete Reference. Each workbook is also accompanied by a CD that contains the files for the exercises and animated screen shots with voice-over explanations.

We are now shipping the following workbooks:

Unstructured FrameMaker 7: Accelerated Introduction Workbook

Advanced Unstructured FrameMaker 7: Template Design Workbook

Structured FrameMaker 7: Introduction to Authoring Workbook

The last two workbooks in the series are scheduled for release as follows:

Advanced Structured FrameMaker 7: Creating EDDs Workbook

Week of September 2

Advanced Structured FrameMaker 7: Structured Applications Workbook

Late September

You can order the workbooks at our online store.

If you're an instructor and would like information about licensing our FrameMaker 7 training materials for your classes, send email to sales@scriptorium.com or contact Matt Arnold at 919-481-2701, ext. 105.

Wondering About How XML Can Fit into Your Workflow?

Everyone keeps saying, "XML is the next big thing," but do you know how you can integrate XML into your workflow, especially now that structured FrameMaker 7 makes round-tripping tagged content easier than before? If you'd like more information about XML and its application to your work, contact us at sales@scriptorium.com.
