FrameMaker Proficiency in a Week

(5 Days)

In response to requests from our clients, we've combined our two FrameMaker classes into five consecutive days of Frame training. Not for the faint-hearted, this intense class combines everything in Unstructured FrameMaker: Accelerated Introduction and Advanced Unstructured FrameMaker: Template Building. It's the perfect program if you can attend only one course in a year. The only prerequisite is a basic understanding of your platform (PC or Macintosh). You will benefit from knowledge of a desktop publishing application (such as PageMaker or QuarkXPress) or of a word processor (such as Microsoft Word or WordPerfect), but it's not necessary.

The first few days will cover Frame basics such as applying paragraph and character tags, using templates, creating cross-references and variables, and working with graphics and tables. Then you'll explore WebWorks Publisher Standard Edition, which is now included with FrameMaker 6.0. The final days will provide detailed information about cross-platform file transfer issues, discuss conversion of source documents into FrameMaker, and focus on advanced functions such as hypertext and designing master pages.

For detailed information about the course's content, see the information about our Unstructured FrameMaker: Accelerated Introduction and Advanced Unstructured FrameMaker: Template Building classes.
