The DITA Style Guide: going to the printer this week

Alan Pringle / News4 Comments

Tony Self and the team at Scriptorium have almost wrapped up work on the print edition of Tony’s book, The DITA Style Guide. (Excuse me while I do a private happy dance.) We plan to submit the files to the printer this week, which means the book will be available at online bookstores around the second week of March. Stay tuned for information on the ePub edition, which will come out shortly after the print edition. The DITA Style Guide cover

If you haven’t already entered the drawing for a free copy of The DITA Style Guide, please do so now. Registration for that contest closes this Friday (February 25) at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

Speaking of registration, register for Tony’s free webcast on March 9. Tony will explain how The DITA Style Guide contributes to best practices in writing DITA content and how the book fills the gap between the DITA standard and traditional style manuals. Webcast attendees will be entered into a drawing for a free copy of The DITA Style Guide.

P.S. If you’re attending the WritersUA conference, Tony is presenting A Style Guide for DITA Authoring on Wednesday, March 16 [UPDATE: This was moved to Monday, March 14]. I bet Tony will be giving away a book or two at that presentation as well.
