Today, Sarah O’Keefe and Ryan Fulcher are on their way to the Big Design 2011 conference in Dallas. If you’re attending the conference, drop by Scriptorium’s space in the exhibition area tomorrow. (Just look for the bright yellow banner with the duckling on it!)
You can chat with Sarah and Ryan about managing content, and you can sign up to win a copy of The State of Structured Authoring or The Compass. You can also pick up some free chocolate (one of the main food groups for all Scriptorium employees) and a bookmark featuring the duckling.
As part of the Content Strategy track at Big Design, Sarah is offering a presentation, The Economics of Information, Friday at 10 a.m. (That’s the first session after tomorrow’s keynote.) Sarah will be addressing how the expense of creating and distributing content has been dramatically lowered by technology: anyone with a computer can now contribute information. How does the influx of this content affect technical authors and their processes for developing and delivering information?
Not attending Big Design? No worries! You can get in on the giveaways, too, by visiting our virtual Big Design booth. One lucky winner will win copies of both The State of Structured Authoring and The Compass! But hurry: registration for the giveaway ends on Saturday, July 16!
